Dannii denies dating contestant

17 September 2007 - Dannii Minogue has tried to put an end to rumours that she is dating X Factor contestant Andy Williams.

The 35-year-old Aussie has been raising eyebrows with her flirtatious behaviour with men on the show, as some female contestants hint that she prefers male acts.

Dannii recently told 15-year-old schoolboy Michael Hough that he was "hot" and admitted she had penned songs for him in her diary.

Meanwhile, she described 22-year-old Andy from Newport, south Wales, as "hot stuff" at his audition, leading to rumours of a romance.

However, a source told the Daily Star: "Dannii thinks Andy is cute and really talented with an amazing voice. But she's more than a decade older than him and he's just not what she's looking for.

"It would also be a bit unprofessional for her to get involved with a contestant at this stage."

In other X Factor news, Simon Cowell has faced controversy recently when he changed his mind about letting a pregnant contestant through to the next stage.

He told Katie Boothand, from Skegness, that he was worried that she would end up "having a baby right in the middle of the live shows".
