Dancing on Ice - Chris Fountain´s shy confession

23 January 2008 - Chris Fountain is "too shy" to chat up women.

The 'Hollyoaks' star - who plays Justin Burton on the Channel 4 soap - has confessed he likes women to ask him out because he struggles to pluck up the courage to "make the move".

Chris told Britain's Look magazine: "I'm quite shy when it comes to girls - I wish they would ask me out.

"I'm not really a chat-up line sort of person. I just try to make a lot of eye contact. Sometimes I'll make the move, but it doesn't come naturally to me."

Bu the 20-year-old soap pin-up revealed he doesn't have a shortage of women willing to proposition him.

He said: "I'm not seeing anyone at the minute. I don't mind getting chatted up now and again. Some girls are quite forward, others send their mates over - you know, 'My mate fancies you.' And others sneakily take pictures without asking. If you ask, I'll just come and stand with you!"

Chris is currently taking part in ITV reality show 'Dancing On Ice', and admits he is feeling the pressure after being named the early favourite to win.

He said: "I wish I wasn't the favourite as they often go out early. It's tough and exhausting. I've lost half a stone and it's toned me up - you can see it in my chest and shoulders. It's hard, but a great experience."
