Dancing on Ice - Coronation Street's Zaraah Abrahams wants to win
28 January 2008 - 'Dancing On Ice' newcomer Zaraah Abrahams has vowed to win the show, despite her late start.
The former 'Coronation Street' actress - who replaced injured 'GMTV' presenter Michael Underwood last week - made her debut in the third week of the competition last night (27.01.08) and wowed the judges with partner Fred Palascak. The pair managed to score 18.5 points and be placed fourth.
Now Zaraah - who had been training non-stop in case she was needed as a replacement - has the confidence to go all the way.
She said: "I'm here to win. Am I any good? I'd want to watch me!
"I've been practising with Fred since last week and I love him. He's got such a dry sense of humour. We learn from each other and I think we're going to make a really good team."
However, Zaraah faces stiff competition from her ice rivals including former Hear'Say singer Suzanne Shaw, 'Hollyoaks' actor Chris Fountain and pop singer Gareth Gates.
The trio all impressed the judges with their routines last night, with Chris topping the judges' leaderboard.
Suzanne said: "I'm a daredevil and push myself. It's dangerous but that's half the fun."
Meanwhile, former pop star Samantha Mumba became the latest celebrity to be voted off the show.
She faced Olympic javelin star Steve Backley in her second skate-off, and the judges
chose to save the athlete, and send the Irish singer home.
