Dancing On Ice - Phillip Schofield laughs at Paxman's pants
23 January 2008 - Dancing On Ice host Phillip Schofield collapsed in a six-minute fit of helpless laughter while presenting This Morning.
Philip and co-host Fern Britton got the giggles when an image of Newsnight presenter Jeremy Paxman wearing nothing but a pair of pants flashed onscreen during Monday's programme.
"It's a miserable day for Jeremy Paxman because his pants don't fit," said Fern, before the pair started laughing uncontrollably.
The Newsnight host complained at the weekend that men's underpants from Marks & Spencer are not as comfortable as they used to be.
But Paxman in pants proved to be too much for Phillip, who burst out laughing after telling Fern that he was currently "very happy" with his pants.
According to the Times, Jeremy Paxman said he has received more emails from people regarding his comments about the quality of Marks & Spencer pants than he ever has before.
"Nothing I have ever done - interviewing Michael Howard, asking Tony Blair whether he prays with George Bush, nothing - has elicited such a response," he said.
The newspaper reported that the retail giant records annual sales averaging 32 million pairs of underpants and 44 million pairs of socks.
