Dancing On Ice - Philip Schofield wins sex symbol poll
30 January 2008 - Dancing On Ice presenter Philip Schofield has topped a poll of unlikely sex symbols.
The silver fox came first in a survey to discover which men the UK secretly adores, beating competition from the likes of Jeremy Clarkson and Gary Lineker.
DatingDirect.com carried out the research and fans may be unsurprised that Philip, 45, came top given his good looks, year-round tan and on-screen charisma.
Floppy-haired Jonathan Ross came second in the poll, followed by Top Gear's Clarkson and Fabio Capello, the new England football boss.
Clarkson cheekily told the Sun it did not say much that he was less popular than"a man who looks like Shrek (Capello), a man with ears the size of satellite dishes (Lineker) and a man who calls a spade a spade (Ramsay)."
Trevor McDonald came fifth, while Gordon Ramsay and Lineker were voted sixth and seventh respectively.
The top ten of secretly adored men was rounded off by funnyman and explorer Michael Palin, Terry Wogan and Bruce Forsyth.
Philip is currently co-presenting Dancing On Ice with Holly Willoughby.
