X Factor - Don't get Rhyd of me

10 December 2007 - X Factor favourite Rhydian Roberts has been back in touch with his ex-girlfriend, according to the Sunday Mirror.

The 25-year-old Welsh warbler, who is tipped to win the competition, dated Mimi Terris earlier this year but they broke up and she now has a new fella.

Apparently, Rhyd is "devastated" and said he misses Swedish Mimi a great deal.

"I was very close to Mimi," he told the newspaper. "She was very attractive and we got on really well & we had good times together."

It was said that the couple parted ways because of Rhyd's strict religious beliefs, which means he is saving himself for the right girl he is truly in love with.

But this has not stopped the Billy Idol lookalike from receiving a great deal of female attention, given his striking looks and sweet personality.

A fansite, rhydian-roberts.co.uk, includes various posts from adorers such as "Victoria Steggles", who said: "I love Rhydian, he has the best voice in the show & I'm so in love with you."

Meanwhile, X Factor continued to up the cheese-o-meter this week with Same Difference's rendition of Chain Reaction, which featured a range of circus performers.
