Big Brother Celebrity Hijack - Survey says Dermot is a dream date
24 January 2008 - The average man's girlfriend would love a date with Big Brother Celebrity Hijack host Dermot O'Leary.
The television presenter was named alongside Brad Pitt as the celeb that the girlfriend of "Mr Average" would most like to go out with in the new Average British Boyfriend Survey, conducted by More magazine.
Comedian Russell Brand and Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty were named as the least date-able celebs, the survey also revealed.
A separate poll, cited by the Daily Mail, noted that average woman's dream man drives a silver Mercedes, is clean-shaven and well-educated, likes to eat out, has no children and has never been married.
In reality, the Average British Boyfriend Survey revealed that the UK's Mr Average spends around 24 hours a week in front of the TV and that eight out of ten have put off a date to go out with their mates instead.
He also tends to buy his underwear from Marks & Spencer, though the rest of his wardrobe is likely from H&M.
Dermot, however, is rumoured to prefer shopping at Manchester's All Saints clothing store on Market Street and has been spotted wearing items from the shop while presenting Big Brother Celebrity Hijack, according to manchesterconfidential.co.uk.
