Big Brother Celebrity Hijack - John Loughton will give winnings to mum
29 January 2008 - Big Brother Celebrity Hijack winner John Loughton has announced plans to share his winnings with his mum.
The Stirling University student was crowned as the champion and is set to bank £50,000 for his hard work in the house.
But speaking to the Daily Record, John, 20, revealed his plans to share the wealth now that he is a free man again.
He will give "a lot" to his mum because they did not have much money when he was growing up, the young politician said.
"We were always trying to get food and money together," John told the newspaper. "It never crossed my mind I'd win - I thought there had been a mistake."
John, who is the chairman of the Scottish youth parliament, won the recently-revamped series after reaching the final two with circus performer Emilia Arata.
He was the first housemate to be "hijacked" by a celebrity when Little Britain star Matt Lucas gave him secret instructions to carry out via a hidden earpiece.
The Daily Record said John was due to return to his university studies next week.
