Big Brother goes surreal

The dust has finally settled on the Celebrity Big Brother rows involving Jade Goody and Shilpa Shetty, but for BB diehards another summer of shenanigans is just around the corner.

Details of the house for BB8 have been released, a week before the show goes to air with Davina McCall, and producers have put the surreal into 'surreality TV'.

The latest carefully selected housemates will find their new abode takes a bit of getting used to as nothing is where it should be.

A bath tub has been plonked right in the middle of the living room, the fridge has been placed out in the garden, while the sink and cooking areas are on opposite sides of the room to one another.

And in an attempt to add a bit of heat to the bedroom the oven has been set up in the sleeping quarters.

There will also be a swimming pool which is half inside, half outside the house, perfectly apt for a British summer.

Live coverage of antics in the Elstree house will commence on May 30th.
