Charlotte Church's Robbie whirlpool

Charlotte Church once shared a Jacuzzi with Robbie Williams.

The singer-and-TV presenter, who is expecting her first child with rugby star Gavin Henson, has revealed she was star-struck when she met a scantily-clad Robbie.

Charlotte says in her new autobiography 'Keep Smiling': I met Robbie Williams at the Sunset Marquis Hotel in Hollywood. He was with friends in the Jacuzzi, wearing his pants - not even proper swimwear! I was shocked.

The Welsh star admits she so mortified when the 'Angels' singer spoke to her she quickly made an excuse to leave.

Charlotte said: He called me over, and it would have been rude not to go, but I was mortified because of his pants and made sure I kept looking away. If I had been older, I would have had a good look, but not then!

He was surprisingly funny and kind. He chatted about Los Angeles and breaking into the American market. Despite him being so cool, I found it difficult talking to him, so I quickly tore myself away. As I walked away, he called after me, 'Don't work too hard!'
