Billie Piper's freaky figure
Billie Piper's 'Doctor Who' action figure of herself made her "freak out".
The blonde actress - who has reportedly signed up to star in the 'Doctor Who' movie - was turned into a plastic children's toy after the massive success of her role as The Doctor's assistant Rose Tyler in the BBC show, but says the whole thing "freaked" her out.
Billie confessed to Marie Claire magazine: "That whole doll thing really freaked me out, to be honest. To suddenly be in that place where kids are kind of idolising this character you play, who is about five years younger than my actual age, and who is, well, different to me - it's weird.
"They want to see you as Rose Tyler forever and, as sweet as it is, I really hate that responsibility."
Billie also defended her friend, and fellow Sylvia Young Theatre School student, Amy Winehouse - who has been causing controversy with her erratic behaviour and continued drink and drug abuse.
She said: "I love Amy. People say she's stupid, she's actually incredibly smart. If you listen to her lyrics, there's no way that girl is stupid.
"There's something romantic about being a bit destructive and a bit mean. Just kind of floating around - not aimlessly, but trying to live differently or feeling like people don't really understand you and therefore feeling slightly alienated and isolated. And I have felt like that at times."
