Lily blames Cheryl for 'ugly' outburst
Pint-sized singer Lily Allen has slammed fellow pop star Cheryl Cole as "stupid" in the latest war of words between the two, blaming Cheryl for her recent depression.
Cheryl, who is married to Chelsea footballer Ashley Cole and sings with pop group Girls Aloud, reportedly reignited the spat between the two with some foul-mouthed words, adding to the 21-year-old's already depressed state.
Lily has been suffering from homesickness while touring the US and wrote on her online blog that she felt she was "fat and ugly".
But after fans bombarded her with good will messages, Lily picked up and decided to respond to the taunts from Cheryl.
On the same blog, she wrote: "I know I've said bad things about people in the past, though the majority of them have been blown way out of proportion, but this I mean.
"I may not be as pretty as you but at least I write and sing my own songs without the aid of autotune."
She also laid into Cheryl's marriage to Ashley Cole, sarcastically suggesting that her mother must be "so proud" of her for taking her clothes off, "doing sexy dancing and marrying a rich footballer".
Lily's mother has since flown to the US to keep her company while the final dates of her popular US tour wind down.
