Winehouse requests backstage booze at awards
20 September 2007 - Amy Winehouse reportedly made some less-than-sober requests for drinks to be stocked backstage at the Mobo Awards.
The Rehab singer submitted a list for backstage essentials which included a bottle of vodka, two bottles of Jack Daniels, two bottles of Veuve Cliquot, two bottles of red wine and 48 Heineken beers, according to the Daily Mail.
Regarding food, the 27-year-old asked for packs of Haribo sweets, chicken drumsticks, chips and dips, chocolate bars and fresh fruit.
Amy was named female artist of the year at both the Mobos and the Vodafone Live Music Awards in the same night.
Recently, fellow Brit singer Paul Weller stuck up for Amy, calling her a "good role model".
Paul, who used to be a member of The Jam, said that her large talent overshadowed any of her personal turmoil.
"I've been lucky enough to work with her. She is an amazing, great talent and, despite what all the papers say, she is a great role model for people and I don't think the drugs and the drink and all that make a scrap of difference," he remarked.
"I think you should judge people on their talent and on that level she's up there, a major talent."
