Brian Mcfadden admits Katona wedding 'fake'
Former Westlife singer Brian Mcfadden has said that his marriage to singer-come-reality TV star Kerry Katona "wasn't real" and admitted that he had sex with a lapdancer on his stag night.
The couple's wedding in 2002 was covered by Hello! magazine after they signed an exclusive deal with the publication, believed to have been worth £300,000.
Such deals may be commonplace for celebrities, but Brian told Reveal magazine: "We were getting married to have a big party and gets loads of money for it and to appear showbiz."
And the flaws in their relationship were already showing according to Brian, who claimed in the interview they didn't spend their wedding night together and said he had cheated on Kerry with a lapdancer on his stag night.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the couple's relationship broke down and they split in 2004 despite having two daughters together, with Brian now explaining: "I was too young to understand what having kids meant."
Brian is currently dating Australian singer and actress Delta Goodrem, while Kerry married taxi driver Mark Croft last month.
