X Factor - Show bosses deny Louis Walsh will quit

18 October 2007 - X Factor bosses have denied reports that Louis Walsh is set to leave the judging panel after the fourth series of the reality karaoke show.

Walsh allegedly said that the show took up too much of his time and that he wanted to leave to concentrate on managing his bands.

"I will do one more series. I have really enjoyed doing it but I'm not a TV star, I'm a band manager," he reportedly said.

However, Louis' comments were later dismissed in a statement posted on the show's official website.

It read: "Despite rumours that Louis will not renew his contract for series 5, we've been told to let you know that as far as the show is concerned, there is "no truth at all in these rumours".

So it looks like our favourite Irish judge will be around for a long time to come...
