X Factor - Hope's Emily denies Leon Jackson romance

20 December 2007 - Hope singer Emily Biggs has denied that there is anything going on between her and Leon Jackson.

Speaking to the Sun at the premiere of Will Smith's new movie I Am Legend, Emily said although she was thrilled Leon won X Factor, there was no truth in rumours of a relationship.

"There's no romance," she claimed. "But I'm pleased he won & we spoke yesterday and he's over the moon."

However, she made a mysterious slip of the tongue when asked what she thought of Rhydian's career, stuttering: "Leon - I mean Rhydian - will be fine."

Emily's bandmate Raquelle Gracie, meanwhile, kept schtum when the subject of vote-rigging was brought up by the newspaper.

She said that Hope knew nothing about the alleged fix and added that the speculation was not nice for the group as they featured in the bottom two of the competition many times without being eliminated.

The I Am Legend premiere was also attended by fellow X Factor contestant Alisha Bennett in addition to ex-Blue singer Simon Webbe and the star of the film Will Smith.
