Strictly Come Dancing - Matt Di Angelo's weird fans

5 December 2007 - Matt Di Angelo has received some strange fan mail since appearing on Strictly Come Dancing, he admitted to Closer magazine.

According to Showbiz Spy, the tango-tastic EastEnders star has been posted pants, chocolate and shot glasses in addition to numerous offers to take him out on a date.

However, he also confessed that he actually does fancy dance partner Flavia Cacace - which is no surprise to viewers who have watched the chemistry sizzle between the two since day one.

"She's stunning," Matt said. "But she's totally out of my league. The same with Alesha Dixon - she's gorgeous but there's nothing going on - I wish!"

Modest Matt is likely to have encountered admiring fans in recent months while starring as Deano Wicks in EastEnders.

His character is currently in prison after falsely accusing Sean Slater of attacking Patrick Trueman.

However, both Deano and half-sister Carly Wicks are set to leave the soap in the early part of next year - meaning fans can keep their eyes peeled for Matt appearing in other roles.
