Strictly Come Dancing - Alesha Dixon thinks she is the underdog

14 December 2007 - Consistently high-scorer Alesha Dixon feels she and Matthew Cutler are the underdogs going into the semi-final.

Last week saw the pair score a whopping 74 points out of a possible 80 but found themselves in the bottom two, eventually hanging on to their place as Letitia Dean was booted off.

And following that recent shock result, Alesha told the official BBC website that she has felt like an underdog in the run up to the penultimate round.

"If it's my last week, I want to go out on a high," she remarked.

"There have been moments when you dream and have that vision of lifting the trophy & it would be wonderful, but I still feel like it's a long way away."

Alesha and Matthew have performed consistently well over the course of the series and have received more tens from the judges than any of their fellow dancers.

They have been given top marks a total of ten times throughout the series, beginning with week seven when their beautiful waltz saw Bruno Tonioli and Arlene Phillips both award them ten out of ten.
