Not strictly live dancing from ´Strictly Come Dancing´ star Kelly Brook

Strictly Come Dancing - Not strictly live dancing

9 October 2007 - 'Strictly Come Dancing' bosses have been blasted after it was revealed the show is not live.

Viewers were enraged to discover they had been duped after sports star Kenny Logan was seen live in Paris commentating on the Rugby World Cup just ten minutes after taking part in the reality show's final "dance off" on Sunday evening (07.10.07).

The coincidence forced BBC bosses to admit the Sunday segment is actually filmed late on Saturday evening.

Viewers bombarded the channel with complaints as they had been led to believe the show was live.

Ex-Scotland rugby international Kenny - the husband of fellow contestant Gabby - beat former 'Coronation Street' star Brian Capron to keep his place on the show on Sunday evening. Just ten minutes later he was seen on ITV giving live commentary on the Argentina Vs. Scotland match.

'Strictly Come Dancing' contestants perform on the live show on Saturday evenings and viewers vote for their favourite, but in the new format the winner is not revealed until Sunday evening. The Sunday show is actually pre-recorded late on Saturday night, but viewers were not made aware of this and it appeared to be live.

Only the male contestants were up for the vote on Saturday night and Brian - who played 'Coronation Street' killer Richard Hillman - was the first to be booted out on Sunday.

Next Saturday (13.10.07) will see the ladies face the judges and the public for the first time, with Kelly Brook, former 'EastEnder' Letitia Dean, singer Alesha Dixon, Penny Lancaster, Stephanie Beacham and TV presenters Kate Garroway and Gabby Logan all taking to the floor with their partners.
