I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here - Christopher Biggins joins jungle
16 November 2007 - Christopher Biggins joined 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here' and immediately forced to take part in a gruesome Bushtucker Trial yesterday (15.11.07).
The pantomime star entered the jungle for the ITV reality show yesterday (15.11.07) and went straight up for a trial which saw him locked in a glass tank and sprayed with bugs.
The 'Porridge' actor took on the trial with supermodel Janice Dickinson, and put her to shame by collecting six stars for the camp, while she only managed one.
The American model had to make her way round seven stations, with the option of drafting in Christopher twice if she wasn't up to the job.
She first called for help on Catch a Falling Star, leaving Christopher to be doused in bug slime as he caught two stars.
Then, when both contestants were faced with a Critter Dome full of flying cockroaches on the final task Janice gave up within seconds screaming "Biggins, Biggins!", leaving Christopher to collect an impressive four stars.
Janice had earlier refused to put her head into a box of snakes or reach into a tree filled with scorpions and rats.
Meanwhile, 'The Apprentice' star Katie Hopkins also faced a grueling Bushtucker Trial yesterday (15.11.07).
She lay in a coffin full of cockroaches six feet underground for a full ten minutes after viewers voted her to face the Grave Danger challenge.
Afterwards the 32-year-old mother-of-two described the trial as "like childbirth but much worse" and told presenters Ant and Dec: "It makes me want to be sick".
