I'm a Celebrity - Wax on and wax off for Christopher Biggins

29 November 2007 - Christopher Biggins gave his fellow campers a bit too much information when he told them about his waxing rituals.

The TV presenter and actor, who has turned out to be a very funny addition to the jungle, explained how he had gone for an all-over wax before flying down under.

"It's an old Egyptian thing," Biggins said. "I go to a guy in Soho and he sugars my back and he sugars the hair from my nostrils … it's good."

The 59-year-old ex-Porridge and Bad Girls star said he had opted for this type of hair removal in anticipation of the nasty creatures he would encounter in camp - and he did not mean Janice Dickinson.

"I went just before I came out here because I knew there were lots of creepy crawlies who would come gathering in my wotsits."

He added that the wax leaves him feeling "all fresh" - something which the campers are unlikely to be experiencing as they near the end of the competition.

J Brown had a particularly gruesome challenge to overcome recently when he won five stars for the gang. He had to put his head in plastic domes filled with all manner of bugs and beasts, such as spiders, cockroaches and snakes.
