Millionaire businessman Jonathan became the sixteenth housemate in BB8. Jonathan claims he has never seen Big Brother and that his sole motivation is "ego".

A widower with two children, Jonathan was due to marry his current partner this summer – but has postponed his wedding to become a Big Brother housemate.

Jonathan made his fortune when he founded a media agency group thirty years ago. The company now spans 41 countries, turns over £10 billion and he is worth an estimated £5 million.

He once wrote a novel in 30 days and had a column in The Guardian. He is a philosophical thinker who hates "dithering and injustice" and has recently taken up smoking, and loves Jack Daniels.

Jonathan admits he is scared of heights – and even hates changing light bulbs at home. He also hates insects and says he can survive easily on four hours of sleep a night.

Jonathan is generous and believes in spreading good will. "If I have a good day at work, the first person who asks me for money – I will give them whatever cash I have on me at the time."
