Any Dream Will Do - Lee Mead wants to date Denise Van Outen

16 November 2007 - Any Dream Will Do winner Lee Mead says he is hoping to snag a date with blonde presenter Denise Van Outen.

The show, which saw him win the lead role in the current production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, pitted him against a group of other warblers who were whittled down week by week.

However, according to Now magazine, Lee wants to tempt Denise out for a date following his recent break-up with his long-term love.

And it is not all in his head - because they flirted on the show and are still in contact, he explained.

"There was some flirting on the show, but whether it'll come to anything, who knows? It's her place to say."

And after his win on the singing contest this summer, Denise said: "The next time he lands a role as a leading man, can he put me forward to be the leading lady?"

Denise is a well-known face on UK TV screens and previously dated Jamiroquai front-man Jay Kay. She had a romance this year with Spaced and I'm Alan Partridge actor James Lance.
