Antony Cotton's royal snub
Antony Cotton has revealed he was snubbed by the Queen when he met her.
The 'Coronation Street' star - who plays camp factory worker Sean Tully - met Britain's monarch at a charity event, but when he tried to talk to her she just walked away.
Antony told Britain's Soaplife magazine: I met Her Maj when I went to Buckingham palace for a young volunteers' charity I was involved with.
On being told I was Antony Cotton from 'Coronation Street' she said 'Eeouh' in her posh voice.
I asked her if she was a fan of the show and all she said was 'Eeouh' again. Then she walked off.
But despite the Queen not being a fan of the soap, Antony is still a huge fan of hers and would love to have her on his new chat show, 'That Anthony Cotton Show'.
He said: I'd love to have the Queen on. It would be great to say 'Sit down Liz, kid, and put your feet up.'
The 32-year-old hopes his new chat show will be a success but has vowed he will not quit his part in 'Coronation Street'.
Antony said: I have no ambition to leave Corrie. I've just signed up for another year so I certainly won't be leaving any time soon.
