Heath Ledger has a Screen Actors Guild Award dedicated to him
28 January 2008 - Daniel Day-Lewis has dedicated his Screen Actors Guild Award to Heath Ledger.
He won the award for his role in 'There Will Be Blood.'
In his acceptance speech Daniel Day-Lewis decided to speak about Heath Ledger: "It's always been the work of other actors that have given me that sense of regeneration... Heath Ledger gave it to me."
Daniel said of Heath's character in 'Monsters Ball': "you wanted to follow him... you were scared to follow him."
Heath as Ennis Del Marr in 'Brokeback Mountain': "he was unique, he was perfect."
He said the final scene of'Brokeback Mountain' was: "as moving as anything I think I've ever seen.
"I admired him very much. I'm absolutely certain he would have done many wonderful things with his life."
