Hollywood star Eddie Murphy has ended his marriage after only two weeks. Eddie Murphy married Tracey Edmonds on a private island near Bora Bora on New Year's Day.

The marriage wasn't legally binding so the pair of lovebirds planned to tie the knot again once they returned home. It turns out this won't be happening as the marriage is off.

The Mirror has revealed that their honeymoon was "marred by screaming matches and arguments all week."

Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds released a joint statement saying:
"After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forego having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further."

"While the recent symbolic union in Bora Bora was representative of our deep love, friendship and respect that we have for one another on a spiritual level, we have decided to remain friends."

Spice Girls' Mel B is yet to comment on her former lovers marriage farce. Eddie Murphy refused to accept paternity of their child until four months after the baby was born.
