Cruise learns to speak Posh

Tom Cruise is reportedly so charmed by Victoria Beckham's way of talking that he's keen to give Brit-speak a try himself.

According to the Daily Star, Cruise thinks Posh's turns of phrase are "brilliant" and admires her knowledge of cockney rhyming slang.

"He loves the British language because some of the sayings are so quirky. She'll say things like 'bloody hell' and 'blimey'. And she'll say 'come on chaps' to her sons," a source was quoted as saying.

"Tom loves hearing it all and is building up a bit of an Anglo vocabulary himself."

Cruise is not the first American to be enraptured by a British way of speaking; Madonna famously showed an interest in rhyming slang after moving to London and was mocked in the press for putting on an English accent in interviews.

Meanwhile, Cruise was recently been named as the world's most powerful movie star by the Guinness Book of World Records, beating last year's frontrunner, Johnny Depp.
