Usher's mother flight
Usher has flown to Atlanta to save his relationship with his mother.
The 'Confessions' singer reportedly called off his wedding to pregnant fiancée Tameka Foster at the last minute, because his mum Jonetta Patton wasn't going to be there.
Jonetta, who was her son's former manager, was left off the guest list because of her alleged ongoing feud with Tameka. Usher is now desperately trying to repair their damaged relationship.
A source told the New York Daily newspaper: "The reason he called off the ceremony is that he couldn't go through with it without Jonetta. He had an eleventh-hour epiphany."
Usher flew home to Atlanta. It isn't yet known if Tameka travelled with him.
The R'n'B star started to reconsider his decision to marry Tameka following his bachelor party last week.
The source added: "He started having second thoughts. He was obviously troubled that Jonetta wasn't coming.
"Usher woke up on Saturday and said he couldn't go through with it. He apparently also couldn't bring himself to call all the people who were invited. He had the planner call everyone in the wedding party."
Guests including Beyoncé Knowles and her lover Jay-Z, Janet Jackson, Ashanti and Nelly were quickly informed there wasn't going to be a ceremony.
Jonetta, who was fired by Usher in May, was allegedly issued with a last-minute invitation but decided not to attend.
A source told People magazine: "Jonetta was against the wedding. That was one of the main obstacles."
The couple are said to have argued over wedding plans with Tameka desperate to have a low-key event.
The source added: "They had a lot of differences about the details. For example, the bride wanted a barbeque, but Usher wanted to have renowned chef Jean Georges cook.
"The wedding was on again off again for the past few days. Tameka was calling it off because she wasn't getting the things that she wanted. The mother was calling it off. Usher was calling it off."
