X Factor - Louis Walsh makes his Over 25s decision

9 October 2007 - As mentor of the over 25s caregory, Louis Walsh had a hard time choosing which three contestants to take to the live final.

Competition has been fierce but Louis has chosen the three contestants who have the best chance of winning the grand prize.

He pulled no punches with the results and told the guys straight. For Dan Days, the carpenter, who Louis said had a great voice, it was tough, as Louis wasn't sure his personality had also shone through.

Icaro too was disappointed, and as he goes back to his shelf-stacking job, he wasn't feeling as much love for Louis as he had been feeling before. Icaro, you've entertained us!

Meanwhile, while Zyta stoically accepted he no decision, Niki comforted Louis as the Irish impresario tried in vain to find the words to convey his thought to her.

As Niki worried about Louis' welfare, Louis was even more impressed – "have you ever seen anyone as nice this?", he pondered. Must've made putting her through to the final feel even sweeter!

Beverley, happy but overcome with emotion, and Daniel De Bourg, who was still smarting hard from the loss of both parents to cancer, had overcome tough times and now had cause to celebrate – and these guys will be celebrating more as the competition moves forward.

For the Overs category, who often feel it's their last chance at success – this is it. There's all to play for and you can be sure they will be giving their all come the live studio shows.
