Coronation Street's Tina O´Brien hates weddings

25 October 2007 - Tina O'Brien's onscreen wedding has put her off marriage.

The 'Coronation Street' star has been dating costar Ryan Thomas for four years and their Street characters - Sarah Louise Platt and Jason Grimshaw - are set to marry next week, but the wedding is doomed.

Tina told Britain's New magazine: "To tell you the truth I don't like wedding dresses. I loved them before but I've gone right off them!

"It's weird because it's third time lucky for Sarah, so I've definitely experienced what trying to get married is like.

"My wedding would be nothing like the trauma of Sarah's, that's for sure.

"The dress was nothing like me, the hair and the tiara were very Sarah. For the first week of filming I loved it, and by the third it was just a nightmare and I couldn't wait to get it off!"

The 24-year-old actress is quitting The Street to star as Cinderella in panto but isn't bothered about leaving Ryan behind.

She said: "I think it will be good for us because at the moment we're so used to being together, you can take it for granted."
