I'm a Celebrity - Dumped wife wanted to set crocs on Katie Hopkins

23 November 2007 - The ex-wife of Katie Hopkins' lover was hoping the jungle star would be eaten by crocodiles while in camp, it emerged today.

Ruth Cross, whose husband Mark dumped her for The Apprentice's villain, told the Daily Mirror that she wanted Katie to come to a rather sticky end while on I'm a Celebrity.

Unfortunately for Ruth, Katie's eviction from the jungle means sharing a coffin with 20,000 cockroaches was as bad as it got for the reality star.

"I like seeing her squirm," said the jilted 51-year-old. "I just hope she gets eaten by the crocodiles after everything she's done."

Katie hit the headlines following her appearance on The Apprentice after being snapped frolicking in a field with Mark, whom she was seeing at the time.

And while the two are now together, Ruth said this year has been "the worst year of my life", especially after "self-centred" Katie phoned her after the split to offer her support.

According to the Times, Katie once ran the New York marathon while pregnant and said it was a test - if she was still expecting after the race, then the baby was "meant to be".
