Coronation Street - Alison King´s pie pig-out

1 February 2008 - Alison King is addicted to pies.

The 'Coronation Street' star - who plays scheming Carla Connor in the ITV soap - doesn't have a weakness for sweet treats but adores pigging out on greasy savoury snacks.

Alison told Britain's Soaplife magazine: "I don't have a sweet tooth but at the weekend I find if I start on the junk food I can't stop. I seem to have an unhealthy love of Fray Bentos pies. I just can't get enough of them."

The 34-year-old actress began dating 'Coronation Street' sound technician Adam Huckett last year, and claims they have "never had an argument".

She said: "It's going great! We've never even had an argument. We're mates first and foremost and we respect each other, which is the key."

Alison also revealed she is still on good terms with ex-boyfriend Phil Middlemiss, who played Des Barnes in Corrie for eight years before his character was murdered in 1998.

She said: "I was a dental nurse when we were together but Phil totally kicked my butt into action. I went to drama school at 23. He's an amazing friend and he will always have a special place in my heart."
