Big Brother Celebrity Hijack - John Loughton wins first task

4 January 2008 - Big Brother Celebrity Hijack got off to a devious start on Thursday and saw one contestant following the orders of Matt Lucas.

The Little Britain funnyman was the first of Big Brother's "hijackers" and selected Scottish politician John Loughton as the first to take on an a secret challenge.

This involved John, 20, being told what to do by Matt through an earpiece - and there were some seriously bizarre orders being dished out throughout the evening.

As each contestant was welcomed into the house, John was told to tell a fashion designer he had a "Vivienne Westwing" jacket and randomly shout "cake" as the housemates mingled.

He was also fed information about one particular entrant and instructed to pretend he was psychic by "guessing" her occupation and age.

Before the show began, Matt told the Sun of his plans for the housemates.

"I want to be affectionate because I think Big Brother in the past has had a mean streak. But I think the power is going to my head," he said.

Other hijackers set to be in charge throughout the series include Joan Rivers and Jimmy Carr.
