Ike Turner - Cocaine overdose killed him

17 January 2008 - Ike Turner died from a drugs overdose.

Rock 'n' Roll legend Ike Turner died from a drugs overdose. Ike, who was once married to Tina Turner, died on December 12.

The medical examiner's office have said, "We are listing that he abused cocaine, and that's what resulted in the cocaine toxicity."

They also wrote on their report that Ike's hypertensive cardiovascular disease and pulmonary emphysema also played a part in his death.

Ike had been taking drugs for many years and admitted he used drugs to help him stay awake during his tours. He brutally abused Tina Turner for many years but never admitted it.

Ike's 2001 album Here and Now was a huge success and won a Grammy nomination.
