Christian Brando has died

28 January 2008 - The Eldest son of Marlon Brando has died in hospital.

Christian Brando died from pneumonia on Saturday morning. He was 49.

He acted in a few films and had a small role in the 1968 film 'I Love You, Alice B.Toklas!'

It was not his acting that made him famous. He has been to prison for manslaughter and has been charged twice for spousal abuse.

He was accused of killing his lover Bonnie Lee Bakley in 2001 but he has always denied any involvement in her death.

David Seeley who is the attorney representing Marlon Brando's estate has said: "This is a sad and difficult time for the family."

He added that no funeral had been arranged and that Brando did not leave any children.
