Sugababe arrested after pub brawl
Newest Sugababe Amelle Berrabah has been arrested after being involved in a pub fight while out in Guildford, according to the Daily Mirror.
The 23-year-old singer was reportedly partying with her sister Laila at the Bar Med club on Saturday when she became involved in a "vicious catfight" with a large group of women on the dancefloor.
"It kicked off and things turned really nasty. The sisters gave as good as they got," a source told the newspaper.
"By the end of the scuffle Amelle had a handful of hair extensions. Then the police showed up and took her away."
After a night in the cells, Amelle was able to persuade officers to let her give a statement so that she could join up with her band mates on their planned trip to the US to write some new songs.
Police said that inquiries about the incident were continuing.
Amelle joined the Sugababes in December 2005 to replace original member Mutya Buena and the pop group's success has continued with last single Red Dress peaking at number five in the charts.
