Model Jodie Kidd in cocaine sting
17 September 2007 - Jodie Kidd is the focus of allegations that she has bought cocaine for undercover reporters.
The sporty model, who is known for her passions for polo and golf, was reportedly taped buying three grammes of cocaine for a News of the World reporter, who was posing as a businessman interested in launching a new venture.
According to the reporters, Kidd offered to buy the class A drug during a business meeting in London, then called a dealer and asked for cocaine to be delivered to her brother's house.
She then took £150 in cash from the reporters and gave it to the dealer in exchange for the drugs.
During the conversation which led up to the transaction, the leggy model had a lot to say about other celebrities, including the royal family.
She called Prince Philip "mad" and boasted of her ties with the younger royals. She also described Victoria Beckham as "certainly not a model" and Kate Moss as "affected".
Kidd added that she believed Moss' career in modelling was boosted after she was busted for cocaine use.
Earlier this summer, Kidd explained that she was getting over the break-up of her marriage to entrepreneur Aidan Butler by caring for her horses.
