X Factor - Beverley Trotman off in judge deadlock

27 November 2007 - 'The X Factor's Beverley Trotman was voted off the show by the public, after judges failed to agree who should go.

The 37-year-old school teacher was booted off the ITV reality singing contest on Saturday (24.11.07) after a tense showdown with girl group Hope, which saw the judges reach a voting deadlock for the first time this series.

Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue both opted to send home Hope following their rendition of Christina Aguilera's 'Hurt'.

But with Simon Cowell and Sharon Osbourne choosing to get rid of Beverley following her performance of Mariah Carey's 'Without You', the decision was left to up to the public vote. Viewers gave the mother-of-two the axe, sending Hope through to the final five.

Beverley said: "I feel like I've had a fantastic run. I think my mentor Louis is more gutted than I am. I have had a fantastic opportunity over the last six weeks. I feel I'm ready to do anything now. I've really grown with this competition."
