I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here - Paris Hilton to star
18 October 2007 - Paris Hilton is reportedly set to enter the jungle for 'I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here'.
The hotel heiress could be following in the footsteps of David Gest, Jordan and Tara Palmer-Tomkinson by jetting off to Australia and spending nearly a month in the jungle, if she accepts producers' £500,000 offer.
A source close to Paris told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "She's on standby to fly to Australia. While she's absolutely terrified of bugs and snakes, she is willing to give this a go to show the world she isn't just a party animal. Appearing in the jungle is hard work - it's really tough, especially for someone like Paris, so she wants to be well rewarded."
Producers decided to approach former jailbird Paris when they found out she had agreed to a £300,000 deal to go on Channel 4's 'Celebrity Big Brother' before it was cancelled.
An ITV source said: "Getting Paris into the jungle would be amazing for the programme. We know millions of people would tune in to see what she looks like with no makeup on, or how she deals with the horrible Bushtucker Trials. It would just be fantastic."
The 26-year-old could soon be making friends with Right Said Fred star Richard Fairbrass and Sex Pistols legend Malcolm McLaren - who are also tipped to be involved in the programme.
'I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here' - hosted by Geordie duo Declan Donnelly and Ant McPartlin - starts on ITV1 on November 12.
