I'm A Celebrity - Marc Bannerman´s sorry vow

22 November 2007 - Marc Bannerman has vowed to make it up to his heartbroken girlfriend.

The 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' love-rat - who had been flirting outrageously with fellow contestant Cerys Matthews - was upset when girlfriend Sarah Matravers wasn't there to meet him at the jungle bridge when he was the first to be voted off the show last night (21.11.07).

Marc was then told by presenters Ant and Dec that Sarah had flown back to the UK because she was so hurt by his antics.

The ex-'EastEnders' star said: "Has she gone home? Oh s**t. I'm terrified. I am going to have to apologise. I would like to go back to London right now. I want to go back home.

"I have embarrassed her. I am going to have to live with that. I've got to sort it out with her."

He also denied being involved with Cerys but admitted they shared a connection.

He said: "Nothing's going on. We just got on fantastically well. We had a fantastic time together. I know now I'm in big trouble. But it's a difficult thing. If you meet someone you gel with it's hard not to have a bit of... we did connect."

When Marc's name was announced Cerys looked stunned and close to tears.

She immediately hugged him and he whispered to her: "You'll be Okay."

Cerys had previously said she wanted to be voted out following her flirting with Marc.

She said: "It would be better if it was me who went."
