Coronation Street's Kym Ryder's daughter wants a part

7 December 2007 - 'Coronation Street' star Kym Ryder's daughter wants her own role in the soap.

The former Hear'Say singer - who now plays The Street's barmaid Michelle Connor - is mother to Emily, 10 and David, 12, and revealed her daughter is already to keen to follow in her footsteps.

Kym told Britain's Inside Soap magazine: "Emily's already told me that she wants to be in The Street. She really enjoys doing drama classes, whereas David's more into science and nature."

The 31-year-old actress - who is married to former 'EastEnders' star Jack Ryder - also revealed Emily is hooked on the current storyline about Rosie Webster having an affair with her teacher.

Kym said: "My kids love watching Corrie. My daughter's really into the Rose and John storyline, and keeps asking me what's going to happen next - I have to skim over the naughty bits!"
