Coronation Street - Jack P Shepherd rehearses in bed

30 November 2007 - Jack P Shepherd wakes his girlfriend up to make her rehearse his lines with him.

The 'Coronation Street' star - who plays The Street's evil David Platt - has just moved in with his girlfriend of five years Lauren Shippey, and makes her practice the script in bed.

Lauren told Britain's OK! magazine: "I absolutely hate rehearsing lines! The reason I hate doing them is because I like to go to bed around ten o'clock and Jack always asks me after that when I'm settled for bed."

Jack added: "She's that bad at it that when she's running the lines she'll only say the last word so I get confused and can't remember my lines, and then she throws the scripts down and storms off!

"She does a really good Audrey, though. She puts the voice on and really gets into it!"

The two 19-year-olds - who met at a party when they were 14 - have just bought a house together but Lauren revealed she does all the cooking.

She said: "While I will say that he makes a cracking cup of tea, the only meal he'd make is a sandwich!"
