Big Brother's Craig poses for calendar
12 October 2007 - Craig Phillips, the winner of the first ever Big Brother series, will be appearing in a 2008 calendar, alongside his pet dog Rafiki.
Dubbed Pets Pawtraits, the calendar is raising money for the People's Dispensary for Sick Animals (PSDA), an organisation celebrating its 90th anniversary this coming year, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Other celebrities appearing on the pages include John Barrowman, from Doctor Who and Saturday night shows How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria and Any Dream Will Do, and Hollyoaks actress Sarah Jayne Dunn.
"[Rafiki] was put on the stage and some of the veterinary nurses from the PDSA used him to demonstrate how to put bandages on a dog," Phillips told the publication.
"They were able to use Rafiki because he is so patient - and he really enjoyed it. He's become a bit of a mascot for the organisation now."
The PDSA is a charity that does lots of good work for charity, the Liverpudlian added.
Phillips was also present when the organisation's bravery awards were handed out to armed forces dogs for their good work in the aftermath of the 2005 London bomb blasts.
