Big Brother Celebrity Hijack - Russell Brand says goodbye
9 January 2008 - Russell Brand finished his job of hijacking the Big Brother house on Wednesday and told the contestants to be nice to each other.
The shaggy-haired television presenter and comedian spent part of his time as Big Brother taking part in a hoax, convincing the housemates that an intruder had entered the building.
According to Digital Spy, Russell told the group to congregate on the sofas so he could wish them a proper farewell.
"I'm an emotional fellow," he said. "All be lovely to each other … perhaps one day you'll be able to use the experience and notoriety gained in here to change the world."
He also had some nice words to say about some of the talented housemates, such as Jade Eden who he thought was "beautiful".
However, conceptual artist Amy Jackson had blamed Russell when she found that someone had infused the group's toothpaste with garlic, Digital Spy also reported.
She said it tasted disgusting and was not the same one as she had used the night before.
Amy was seen visiting the diary room with the mysterious toothpaste tube after worrying about smelling of garlic.
