High School Musical - Zac Efron to star in new film

High School Musical and Hairspray star Zac Efron is to star in a new film.

He will begin filming in February for Richard Linklater's 'Me and Orson Welles.' It is an adaptation of a coming of age novel.

In the film Zac will play the main part. It is set in 1937 and Jac will be playing a high school student who lands a part in Orson Welles' Julius Caesar. The production is a massive hit and Zac's character learns all about life and love.

The film also stars newcomer Christian McKay and Ben Chaplin. The film is based on a novel by Robert Kaplow.
