The Three Tenors
22 December 2007 @ 7.35-9.25pm on CHANNEL 4
Luciano Pavarotti, one of the world's finest tenors, died earlier this year aged 71.
Already hugely respected by the musical establishment, Pavarotti shot to worldwide stardom alongside Jose Carreras and Placido Domingo during the 1990 World Cup when they performed one of the most remarkable classical concerts of recent times, as The Three Tenors .
This is another chance to see Channel 4's original broadcast of that night in Rome, as Pavarotti, Carreras and Domingo combine sublime operatic arias with internationally popular songs in a feast of music sung at its very best.
