Michael Kitchen is back as a Christopher Foyle in this new series.

Meredith - the new DCI at Hastings - is quick to dismiss a young RAF man found hanged in a wood as a straightforward suicide.

However, an aerial photo of a German village found in the dead man's pocket leads Milner to suspect murder. Events take an even more unexpected turn and Foyle is compelled to return to service even though he is newly retired.
