Desmond Lynam : That's What I Call Television

In tonight's show Fern Britton will be joined by a special guest co-host Desmond Lynam who chooses his favourite television shows and gets to meet his top TV heroes and heroines.

Fern and Desmond take an audience with Her Majesty the Queen who bares a striking resemblance to one of the stars of Spitting Image, and another of the award-winning show's stars Alistair McGowan gives Desmond a masterclass on how to be a top impressionist.

Kate O'Mara, Jan Harvey, and Stephen Yardley drop anchor to reminisce on the glamour, skullduggery and escapism that was the classic nautical soap Howards' Way.

Desmond fulfills a lifetimes ambition when he is invited to the infamous Oil Baron's Ball by Dallas star Linda Gray. Desmond says, "It was an absolute delight to meet one of my TV heroines who turned out to be as charming and beautiful as I hoped."
