Hell's Kitchen - Lee Ryan

Pop star Lee Ryan recently moved to LA to pursue his acting career, and it looks like a secret new role in a Hollywood movie has kept him far too busy to swat up on his new boss in Hell's Kitchen.

"I wanted to do the show because I actually thought Gordon Ramsay was going to be doing it!" Lee admits. "I've met him a few times and I think he's a really lovely guy and I think he's got a lot of respect."

Needless to say, 24 year-old Lee has never met Marco, but is hoping that his hard-working attitude and ability to fend for himself will stand him in good stead.

"My mum always said to me 'Never depend on a woman, you've got to be self-dependant'. I've always been independent and I've lived on my own for four, five years now and I do my own washing."

As his sister Gemma won MasterChef when she was younger, Lee has always been inspired to cook. But how will Lee fare under the tuition of the quick-tempered Marco?

"I can take anything he says about my cooking but if he says anything personal that upsets me then I will just walk off," he declares.

"He might not stand for any food fights but I might chuck a few peas around or someone might get a mange-tout in the head when they're not looking. I'm definitely a joker in a team. I'll have fun."

Oh yes you will Lee … oooh yes you will.
