12 September 2007 - Hostility between Rachel and Kit causes a crisis. Tony's behaviour shocks Alf. Rachel makes a heartbreaking decision. What secret is Jazz holding over Drew? Two newcomers intrigue Sally.

The tension created by the Kim-Kit-Rachel-Hugh situation is escalating - and almost claims a life this week when Kit takes her sickly baby, Archie, home rather than let Rachel examine him.

Later, Archie's fever gets worse and Kit has no choice but to ask for her rival's help. While Archie undergoes tests for meningitis, Kit worries that her actions may have put her baby's life on the line.

Fortunately, the tests come back clear, but the scare makes Kit bring forward her plans to take Archie and leave the Bay.

She thinks that moving away will erase her feelings for Kim but, when he comes over to say goodbye, the two end up falling into a passionate embrace prompting Kit to have second thoughts.

Can she really walk away?

While Kit wonders whether she should leave the Bay, Sally is intrigued by two new arrivals: teenagers Geoff and Annie Campbell, who rescued Martha when she was stranded in the bush.

When Sally meets Geoff and brings up the subject of school, she is told to mind her own business... which makes her wonder what the angry teen is hiding.

Concerned that Annie and Geoff may not be receiving a proper education, Sally talks to the kids' grandfather, Bruce - who confirms her fears.

Brad alerts the authorities against Sally's wishes; she believes that she could have persuaded Bruce to let the children come back to school. Has Brad made a difficult situation more serious?

Another Bay newcomer causing a scene is Jazz, Drew's estranged mother. She is frustrated that Drew is avoiding her, and thinks that Jules is making things worse.

Jazz pays Jules a visit

Jazz tells Jules that if he does not leave town immediately, she will reveal their 'secret' to Drew. It transpires that Jules used to have a major crush on Jazz - a fact that will end his friendship with Drew if it gets out.

Jules desperately tries to hide the truth from Drew, but things just get more and more complicated - and he has a sinking feeling that Jazz is only just getting started...

Also this week, Rachel is forced to make a heartbreaking decision when Hugh tells her that he will take a job overseas unless she leaves Kim.

Tony's devil-may-care attitude shocks Alf, who worries that his friend is going off the rails. Ric and Lucas get themselves into a spot of bother. And Martha reconsiders whether she and Jack really do have a future.
